THE CATCH

  • Mahi

Probably the most well known fish in the world. In Puerto Rico we have two different mahi seasons. On the north side of the island during the months of November to January we have a run of smaller sized mahi in the 5-15 pound class. Starting in February until April the south side of the island gets a run of trophy sized fish, anywhere from 20-60 pounds with a few fish over 70 being caught every season.

  • Wahoo

Wahoooooo!!! Our favorite fish to target. Wahoo are known for being one of the fastest fish in the ocean and one of the most delicious. We catch wahoo throughout the year with the peak season being October to December. Few days before or after the full moon is a good time to target these beauties.

  • Yellow Fin

Yellowfin Tuna, these are our specialty. When these are around, our crew knows exactly when, where, and how to get them. Yellowfins are around for most of the year, winter and fall are most consistent with March being our favorite month. Bring your A game and good technique when fighting these fish, our average yellowfin are 30-70+ pounds.

  • Black Fin Tuna

Blackfin tunas are available all year long on the west coast of Puerto Rico. A smaller cousin of the yellowfins, these fish can be anywhere from 5 pounds to 20+, our boat record is 27 pounds. A great fight on light tackle and delicious to eat.

  • Rainbow Runner

Rainbow Runners are very common in most spots we fish here. Not many people are familiar with them but they taste great and put up a good fight. They usually swim in large schools so when these fish show up you can count on non stop action.

  • King Mackerel

Kings are common throughout Puerto Rico all year long. Summer months and small moon phases are the best time to target these toothy predators.
